Abstract

This study aims to explain how mastery of mantiq can affect students' debating skills in delivering logical, structured, and responsible arguments. Using the literature study method, the author analyzes the basic principles of mantiq such as the principle of identity, non-contradiction, and the law of middle exclusion, and relates them to the characteristics of debate in the context of Islamic higher education. The results of the study show that an understanding of mantiq plays an important role in shaping critical and systematic thinking patterns, which in turn strengthens students' debating skills. This research also highlights the importance of being moderate and objective in discussions, as part of Islamic values that are relevant in debate practices.
